Cold Wax and Semi Handdrawn Batik Tulis from Go Tik Swan, Solo

Cold Wax (Malam Dingin) combined with Handdrawn Batik (Tulis) from Go Tik Swan, Solo, Central Java.
The cold wax technique uses resist dyeing principal but with a screenprinted cold wax so it is not handstamped nor handwritten, therefore often considered as a mix of traditional and modern production technique. But since this piece also combines authentic handwritten batik technique on some parts of the design (see the very intricate yellow dots in the flowers which give this piece a very unique sense of life and brightness), we can say this still has a high value of craftsmanship.
