Kemben Batik Biji
Kemben (Javanese language) is a torso wrap, historically common in Java and Bali. It is made by wrapping a piece of kain (rectangular traditional cloth), or any type of fabric, covering the chest wrapped around the woman's torso, usually just secured with a small rope and fold.
My version of the kemben here is fitted to size with a back zipper, side slits and embellished with additional draping on the back and can be tied optionally on the front or back. This can be requested with no side slits so it can be worn as a kemben dress (without pants).
100% Cotton Stamped Batik (Batik Cap) with motif similar to traditional Indonesian tie-dye called "jumputan"
It can be ordered in other batik motifs. See the options here and request to be tailored into this kemben.
