Kemben (Javanese language) is a torso wrap, historically common in Java and Bali. It is made by wrapping a piece of kain (rectangular traditional cloth), or any type of fabric, covering the chest wrapped around the woman's torso, usually just secured with a small rope and fold.
My version of the kemben here is fitted to size with a back zipper, side slits and embellished with additional draping on the back and can be tied optionally on the front or back.
This kemben is made of Mega Mendung handdrawn batik (tulis). Only 1 is available in this color and the size is M. Contact us to see what other motifs and colors we have so we can make one in your size.
The Pucuk Inner Top is designed to be worn under the kemben for a more contemporary look, but can also be worn as a top on its own.
